My family has been in the furniture business in Knoxville since 1958 when my Dad started Modern Day Furniture on Old Kingston Pike and later Wellington Galleries near West Town. In 1971, we started Brown Squirrel with the philosophy that drives giants like Home Depot and Lowe’s, which is to buy quality goods in volume and make it possible for customers to take home their purchase the same day.

After graduating from Western State of Colorado, I joined my dad and brother in 1989 at Brown Squirrel. I enjoy interacting with customers about current trends and product quality and feel blessed to work with a lot of expert associates, many whom have been at Brown Squirrel for over 30 years.

My primary job is merchandising our store and shopping resources from all over the world to find the best values for our customers.
