Knoxville Comprehensive Breast Center was founded in 1983 by Kamilia Kozlowski, M.D. It is Knoxville's first and only freestanding facility for screening, diagnosis, and treatment of the breast.

Quality breast healthcare is delivered under one roof in a woman friendly environment. Mammograms are done digitally, rather than on film, which provides sharper resolution and images for more precise interpretation. We have Tennessee's only dedicated breast MRI, an Aurora 1.5 Tesla, designed to fit a woman's body which delivers greater accuracy. Other services include same day mammography results, 24-48 hour biopsy results, breast ultrasounds and bone densitometry. Mammograms are also done in remote areas in East Tennessee and Kentucky by KCBC's mobile mammography unit.

The medical staff at Knoxville Comprehensive Breast Center is headed by Knoxville's only two clinical breast radiologists, Dr. Kozlowski and Caryn Wunderlich, M.D. who specialize in breast imaging technology. The Centers' breast surgeons , Dr. George Webber and Dr. Aaron Margulies, use MammoSite Technology which drastically decreases radiation therapy recovery time.
