  1. I wore a walking boot for 2 months to heal a stable fracture of my left ankle. The boot has been off for 1 month. The top of my foot ,behind the toes is very sore.There are times I think it's the bottom of the foot. Dr. says it takes time. I wonder , is there anything I could do to help? It hurts less if I don't walk much. but it seems it should be better.. Any advise would be appreciated.. At least direct me in the right direction for help.. - silver from Garrett,IN

    Ankle fractures do take time to heal. Being in a walking boot for 2 months will also take time to readjust to a normal walking stance. So this is probably just a normal healing process for you to get through. However, the addition of physical therapy to assist you in resuming a normal pain-free gait may be in order. Talk to your doctor about utilizing physical therapy.   « less

I HAD SUDDEN SWELLING BLOW LEFT KNEE CALF ANKLE PAIN AND IT HAS LASTED OVER ONE WEEK WITH XTREME NUMBNESS THAT FEELS ALMOST IKEPARAYSIS BUT IT STILL AM ABLE TO BEND tOES A SMALL BIT nd the pain also tells me it is mot paraysized. I do have r/r ms bt this numbness with extreme PAIN is new and I hate that drs always atite everything to ms - II had a blood clot alost two years ago from an infected pickline and I gave birth to my son n 7/10/02 What should I do? Since you have already had one, you are more prone to getting another one. You should visit your doctor today to rule-out a blood clot. A visit to the Emergency Room may be in order if you cannot be seen by your doctor today! A blood clot in legs is called a DVT and can be life-threatening!   « less
  4. I worked for a year standing and walking for 10 to 12 hours a day in a warehouse, which had a concrete floor. Now my heels hurt when I am on my feet for any period of time. It doesn't matter what kind of shoes I wear they just hurt and at times it is almost impossible to put weight on them.
