Whoever removed these should have informed you of this. Also, your first degree relatives which are parents, brothers and sisters, children all have an increased risk of developing melanoma. I would recommend having a skin check by a skilled person such as a dermatologist to determine if there are any other suspicious lesions. Also, I recommend long-term surveillance since your risk of developing more continues for the long-term. « less

First is exposure. The more frequent hands are washed, the more they tend to crack and peel. The more soap that is used on them, the more they tend to crack and peel. The hotter the water, the more they tend to crack and peel. The best product to use would be Vaseline. I would recommend putting this on at bedtime and covering this with a cheap pair of white cotton gloves. If this is not enough, I would recommend evaluation for some prescription treatment. « less

This can be impacted by over-the-counter treatments such as Nizoral shampoo or Selsun Blue; however, it does not always respond to these. Also, this could represent a reaction to certain clothing. I would consider using a shirt such as a cool max material or 100% cotton to see if either of these would help that. Finally, it could represent one of many other conditions which would require the input of a trained eye to diagnose. « less

One is a biopsy procedure which frequently does not remove the entire cancer. The purpose of this is a diagnosis and not treatment. With a cancer diagnosis, then further definitive removal therapy is necessary. The intent of the original procedure was diagnosis and removal. So, therefore, that is extremely common. The next is removal. Facial melanoma in particular can be extremely hard to totally remove and can often have positive margins which does require additional surgery. Leaving cancer behind is never a good option. « less
