  2. I have had a gastric bypass, and have had a mitral valve replacement so I have to eat small amounts and pay attention to dark green leafy veggies due to my PT/INR. I need to eat nutritiously. Any suggestions to increase my immunity as well as my blood HCT. - Amy from knoxville tn

  7. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes last year. My blood sugar was 792 when I was diagnosed. After a year, I have stabilized and my sugar is consistently between 100-160. I only take 35 mcg of Lantus at bedtime, and no loner take the Glimepiride for the last 6 months. I eat sensibly but it seems that sugar intake does not have much of an impact on my blood levels. Has my pancreas kicked back in possibly? I am religious about the lantus, and take my readings often. Could I have just gone through a quirk period where my pancreas resumed normal function?   9. I have menieres disease, I've been looking for low salt or no salt recipes, also my doctor diagnose me as a prediabetic I've been watching carbs and been using sugar free desserts. My question is that when I look for a recipe that is low in carbs are high in salt. How can I balance my meals, what is more important to watch for carbs or salt?   10. Are all sugars created equal? I am a fruitaholic. My day will probably consist of an apple, an orange, a mango, cherries, strawberries, kiwi, bananas,grapes, melons etc. I do not eat all of these every day but usually at least a combination of three of these fruits works its way into my daily food consumption.
