I had surgery to repair a torn plantar fascia a couple of years ago, and experienced similar pain in the other foot last year. An MRI was negative on a tear, and I've been slowly healing. I heard taping the foot before running or playing soccer is a good way to support the arch and releive the stress on the plantar fascia. Any other suggestions for protecting my foot from what now seems to be chronic plantar fasciitis?

shock absorption and support is the key to overcoming this. Your cleats are probably a huge factor in this.
