SI Joint pain

Is inversion therapy a recommended treatment for SI joint pain? I had temporary relief with cortisone but now use Ibuprofen. it's not getting better. Would inversion help?

It depends, are you male or female and if female have you had children? Inversion tables can be a good way to relieve stress on the spine by offering traction. Usually individuals that respond to this type of table have a more rigid body type. Women who have had children that experience SI joint pain are usually the opposite, and have hypermobility problems in their SI area. It is best to have a good mechanical evaluation to determine what is the source of your pain. We will do that for free and I would be happy to take a look at your myself, or recommend a Marino therapist that is in your area.
