Safety

Your question is not uncommon and i have ask the same question many times. Restraints are regulated by the state health and human services and lobbyist. These well meaning folks thing that any kind of restraint is considered human abuse. There are exemptions that can be brought to bear by families or a guardian. All nursing home administrators are well versed in this area of healthcare.

And i agree it is not safe.

Osler-Weber-Rendu Syndrome

Osler-Weber-Rendu Syndrome

The only change that I have noticed is our ability to embolize bleeders using minimally invasive techniques. The other is the use of estrogen. So with our ability to control bleeding better mos OWR patients live a normal life span.

Good to hear from you.

Causes of epilepsy

If duct tape was placed over a three year old's mouth (not over nose) for approximately 2 minutes could there have been lack of oxygen to the brain that caused epilepsy by the age of 14?

Causes of epilepsy

Very unlikely since there would have been acute signs of anoxia at the time of the event. Some children are mouth breathers but 2 minutes would not be long enough to cause brain damage. Again the absence of acute oxygen deprevation rules out this possibility.

Complicated problem

This is a not uncommon complaint with the advent of hight recency transmitters and power lines. We do not know the answer but you need to ask the power company if they can move the transmitter or you may need to make sure this is not a viral illness that is rampant in the community.

meds

should meds be cut in half to get the correct dose

Yes and NO

Over the counter medications can be effective in smaller doses depending on the rate of absorption of the individual. Less is often better.

Now with prescription medication from a Doctor or PA this needs to be done at their direction. I often decrease a standard dose of a medication depending on the size, weight, and type of medication. Antibiotics are not one that i reduce is dose. i may extend the hours between doses.

Ozone Exposure

Ozone is found at ground level and in the stratosphere also know as the ozone layer. The ozone layer is helpful in filtering out damaging UV rays from the sun.

As for ground level ozone it is more unfriendly. The level rise and fall depending on pollution and the temperature
Exposure during high levels can make one sick and can be very toxic in higher levels.

As for ozone generators they have been around for many years. These generators are used most commonly for ridding an area of foul orders. If using one for any reason always follow directions and make sure the machine does not generated higher levels than advised by EPA.
